Ryan Trimble serves as Vice President at Allyn, where he provides expert communications, messaging and public affairs counsel to corporate and nonprofit clients alike. In his more than ten years at Allyn, he has led work for legacy clients like Walmart, Microsoft, and SMU, helping these organizations navigate both media communications and political strategy.
Ryan also leads Allyn’s Conservation Practice Group, where he has helped lead strategy for groups like Trust for Public Land, The Nature Conservancy and others. Through this work, he is helping expand access to parks, trails and greenspaces to residents across Dallas and beyond. In addition, he has also advocated for and published editorial pieces on various wildlife conservation issues. He is also a co-host of Allyn’s award-winning podcast, Deconstructing Dallas.
A veteran Texas legislative staffer, Ryan began his career with former state Representative Dan Branch in the Texas House of Representatives. During his decade of service, Ryan coordinated the Dallas Area Legislative Delegation, and aided in the passing of numerous bills, including the transformational “Tier One Universities” bill, which will help enable Texas’ emerging universities to reach top tier status. Ryan also served in various roles with the Representative’s Texas House campaigns, as well as on his statewide campaign for Texas Attorney General. When he joined Allyn, Ryan also helped lead the reelection campaign for former Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, and has provided guidance on numerous political campaigns during his time at the firm.
Ryan holds two undergraduate degrees and one graduate degree from Southern Methodist University. He is a longtime Mustang Club member, and previously served on the SMU Young Alumni Board. A former SMU head cheerleader, Ryan can still be found patrolling the Boulevard on college football Saturdays. He also serves on the advisory board of Texas Native Cats and the Friends of WRR.
Ryan and his wife Lauren live in the Lake Highlands community of Dallas with their two children, two rescue cats and one rescue dog. He coaches his kids’ youth soccer and basketball teams. The Trimbles attend White Rock United Methodist Church.
