uber

Before Uber was a verb, Dallas city officials drafted a transportation ordinance that would have made ride-share companies impossible to operate in Big D. It was a problem the company, and it’s competitors, faced across the country in its nascent days. Three days before the ordinance was set for a vote, Allyn Media was hired to communicate with Dallas City Councilmembers, high-level staff and key media educating them on the company’s role connecting drivers to people seeking rides. Allyn Media’s efforts not only killed the proposed ordinance, but led to a months-long comprehensive re-write of the City of Dallas’ Transportation for Hire ordinance, an ordinance that allowed for ride-share companies to operate and thrive, and an ordinance that was used as an example of a progressive approach around the country.
